1953 Philip Kingsley qualifies as a Trichologist.
1955 Philip Kingsley becomes Trichologist-in-residence at the fashionable Mayfair hair salon, Riché of Hay Hill. He begins formulating his own products.
1960 Philip Kingsley rents his first Consulting rooms on Dorset Street, London. His growing clientele includes Sir Laurence Olivier, Terence Stamp and Jean Shrimpton.
1967 Flaky/Itchy Scalp Shampoo is created for Sir Laurence Olivier.
1968 Philip Kingsley moves to 54 Green Street, our flagship Clinic.
1974 Inspired by a visit from Audrey Hepburn, Philip Kingsley creates Elasticizer, the world’s first pre-shampoo conditioning mask.
1977 Philip Kingsley opens his Manhattan Clinic.
1982 Launch of the Philip Kingsley retail range, based on our expert Clinic formulations.
1984 Creation of Swimcap Cream for the US Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team.
2000s Philip Kingsley’s weekly column runs for 9 years in the Sunday Times.
2003 Philip Kingsley publishes his 3rd and best-known book, ‘The Hair Bible’.
2013 Philip Kingsley is chosen to supply hair products to world leaders for the G8 Summit.
Anabel Kingsley, Philip Kingsley’s daughter, qualifies as a Trichologist.
2015 Launch of Trichotherapy, a revolutionary 3-step regime that targets fine hair, thin hair and reduced volume.
2016 Philip Kingsley passes away age 86, and is succeeded by his daughter, Trichologist Anabel Kingsley, as Brand President.
2019 Launch of our new sustainable packaging, using 100% renewable sugarcane bioplastic.
State-of-the-art renovation of our flagship Clinic at 54 Green Street, and our Trichological Centre in Manhattan.
