Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia

Frontal fibrosing alopecia is a primary cicatricial alopecia and is most common in middle aged or older women. It is a scarring alopecia that starts at the hairline and progresses towards the back.

Unfortunately, as with the other scarring alopecias, there is no successful treatment for areas where scarring has already occurred. However, topical applications can help prevent the condition from progressing.

However, we find at Philip Kingsley that a combination of topical treatments is most effective in preventing the progression of the condition and we see a high rate of success with this method.

If you are suffering from Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia, our clinics based in London and New York specialise in hair and scalp treatments.
