Ringworm

What is Ringworm?

Ringworm (tinea capitis) is not, despite its name, an actual worm — it is a fungal infection. When it occurs on the scalp, it can result in scaly, circular bald patches. It is most common in children, and is highly contagious.

How Do You Treat Ringworm?

Ringworm is easily diagnosed and treated with the antibiotic griseofulvin. Please consult with your doctor or a Trichologist if you suspect that you or your child has ringworm.
